Update Email from this morning..

Posted by Dan Lizette at Nov 10, 2008 8:56AM PST ( 0 Comments )

Here is a copy of the email I sent to everyone this morning with updates and announcements!

Good Morning 14’s -

Sorry for the combined email, most of this will related to 14 FORCE, SWAT some of this will be an FYI. A few notes and thoughts on this wonderful Monday morning:

  • Thanks to all who made registration and practice last night! If you did not make it to Mike’s house yesterday morning, please let me know, so other arrangements can get made to get everything set.
  • I’m looking to put together a "master" phone list for 14 FORCE. Somehow, some way, I’ve made it this far without accumulating this info and obviously it’s needed. So if you have not done so, please forward me on any phone numbers of contact for you, your spouse or your daughter. (FYI – My cell is 343-7795 and my office is 213-2191).
  • We have schedule practices tomorrow from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Calvalry Assembly of God Church, both tomorrow and next Tues. 11/18. Unfortunately, I have two previous commitments on those evenings (Norfolk Collegiate’s "Fall Awards Night’ is tomorrow night, and I have a DJ function next Tues.) so I will not be able to attend either practice. But Coach Tonya has graciously agreed to host combined practices both evenings.
  • We have the "early" practice next Sunday at GB YMCA from 6pm – 8pm. I’d love to have as many of you that can make it to come out. This will be my last practice until I return from my honeymoon (I will be unavailable from 11/21 – 12/10 – during that time, please keep an eye out for Coach Tonya’s emails for updates!). To date, I don’t know that we’ve had all 8 in one place yet – and understandably so, I might add – we are still preseason and optional, but if that could happen, that would be wonderful!
  • If your daughter has her own email she checks regulary, please let me know, and I will set her up with access to the team website. I will soon be posting some tournament information on the site very soon! Our first tournament will be the Monument City Classic the weekend of 1/17/09 so mark your calendars! Exact date, times, hotel reservation information all to come very soon. Getting close!
  • Tonya / Phil – I have your balls / cart in my truck for you guys for Sunday! Thanks for letting us borrow them!

And lastly, I want to apologize for my tardiness last night. For those of you know me, that is extremely unlike me. I have and continue to have an extraordinary amount of things on my plate and am doing my best to juggle all of the "to do" list I have from now until my wedding. But I thank all of you in advance for your continued patience. After I return from my wedding and honeymoon, VBVBA will take a central part of my life and I will give the girls everything I have.

That’s all I can think of for now. So thank you all again! And I will see you all on Sunday!

Dan
Head Coach VBVBA 14 FORCE.

In addition to our scheduled practice from 7p-9p on 11/9, please remember the below email from Mike Roberts at VBVBA regarding required ODR Registration and WarmUps ordering on 11/9:

Coaches,
The ODR Region has changed the way in which they do USAV Registrations and made the change late. There is an online process to register now and requires the parent to put their driver’s license number in as signature. This prevents us from registering each player ourselves. With that said, the process can be confusing and I would rather not have to answer 100 phones calls on how to do the registration. Instead, we are going to setup a bunch of computers at one location and have each team stop by to register. This way we are right there to assist and can ensure it’s all done at once. During this time, we will also have the warm-up samples there to try on. Payment for the warm-ups will be due at that time.
The location that we will conduct this will be the fancy garage of myself. :) Seriously. I will have about 6 systems setup and each team should arrive at the time listed below. They will register and then we will print their forms on-site. All these forms along with payment (they do not owe anything, this is included in their base fee) will be sent together by us. Here are the details:
Location: 1753 Lake Christopher Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23464
Date: 11/09/08 (Sunday)
Times: 12’s (both teams) – 10:00am
13’s – 11:00am
14’s (Both) – 11:30am
15’s (Both) – 12:30pm
16’s and 18’s – 1:30pm
Please strongly encourage each player to make it. If they are not able to make it at the time designated for their team, they need to contact you and let you know when they can make it. Again, we cannot conduct any practices or clinics until this is done for ALL players. Parents will need their driver’s license # so please make sure they bring them.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you.

Mike
